This deliciously nutritious and warming breakfast goes beautifully with the herbal flavours of Floral Nectar for Honeys. Combine with the autumn or winter variant, for example, and benefit from this good meal base all day long, providing a warming quality as well as energy.

300 g oatmeal

800 ml water

pinch of salt

optional: nuts (e.g. walnuts or hazelnuts)/seeds/spices (e.g. cinnamon)

and dried pieces of fruit (e.g. apricots) of your choice

To finish

a dash of plant-based milk

3 tsp floral nectar (delicious with ‘Autumn’)

1 apple, peeled, core removed and diced

pinch of cinnamon powder

a bit of vegan butter

Put the oatmeal and water in a pan and soak for half an hour. Then bring to a boil and cook for a few minutes, until a nice thick porridge has formed. Add a pinch of salt, and, if desired, some finely chopped nuts, spices, or small pieces of dried fruit.

Put the oatmeal in a sealable container and leave it to cool. Store in the fridge until use. You now have a supply for a few days :).

Before using, scoop out a portion of oatmeal (approx. 250 g) from the container and transfer it to a pan along with the pieces of apple. Heat and dilute with plant-based milk of your choice, adding 1 tsp of floral nectar. Decorate with a pinch of cinnamon, a bit of vegan butter, and 2 tsp of floral nectar.
